Whatever applies in Florida, your best protection with a small pet is a written note from the provider saying whether the cremation is individual, partitioned or communal, and when the ashes will be returned.

- Call your vet if the death was sudden. With a rabbit in particular, they'll want to talk you through RHDV2 before the hutch is cleaned or anything goes into the ground.
