Does the Nashville climate change what I should do first?

What is RHDV2 and why does it matter for rabbit aftercare?
Rabbit hemorrhagic disease virus type 2 kills 50-100%[7] of infected rabbits, often with no warning signs. It was first found in a US pet rabbit in 2018 and has since spread to wild rabbits across much of the West. The USDA asks owners to speak to a vet or animal health officials before disposing of a rabbit's body[8], because the virus survives in soil and on bedding.
Will I actually get ashes back from my guinea pig?
Yes, from a genuine private cremation. Ash is mostly processed bone, and a median-weight guinea pig returns about 37 g[9] by our estimate, a couple of tablespoons. A rabbit returns more, around 74 g[6]. Ask the provider how they keep very small pets separate, because the real risk isn't losing everything but mixing with other remains.
